Haritaki

Haritaki

Haritaki has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for its potential health benefits. It has been reported to possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which may help protect against oxidative damage and inflammation in the body (Thirupathirajan et al., 2020). Studies suggest that haritaki may also have anti-cancer properties, as it has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells and inhibit tumor growth in animal models (Yadav et al., 2020). Furthermore, haritaki has been found to have potential neuroprotective effects, which may help protect against cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's (Bhattacharya et al., 2019). Other studies suggest that haritaki may have a protective effect on the liver by improving liver function and reducing liver damage (Sripanidkulchai et al., 2014).
